Early giving is now open for 2024 CV Giving Day

The second annual Coachella Valley Giving Day is March 5. To kick off the excitement, local nonprofits and organizers celebrated with an event on Thursday morning at Acrisure Arena. You can watch the full kickoff event in the player below.
CV Giving Day is a 24-hour giving movement dedicated to raising awareness of local nonprofits and increasing philanthropy in the desert.
On March 5, 2024, you are encouraged to donate during a 24-hour online giving challenge that will generate funding to provide financial support to charities. Early giving is open now if you’d prefer to donate now. Check it out and find a cause here.
This year’s kick-off event will be again emceed by News Channel 3’s Patrick Evans and include representatives from supporting organizations including the Desert Community Foundation, the Auen Foundation, RAP Foundation, and FirstBank.
“CV Giving Day has demonstrated that the power of giving together can make a real difference in the communities we love and serve. FirstBank is proud to support this movement and put our guiding principle of ‘banking for good’ into action. We’re excited to kick off early giving for CV Giving Day alongside Desert Community Foundation, participating nonprofits, and generous donors,” said Jake Wuest, FirstBank California Market President.

“We’re anticipating raising even more for participating nonprofits in 2024. FirstBank and our partners are rolling out new incentive prizes to help inspire generosity across the Coachella Valley,” Wuest told News Channel 3 ahead of this year’s campaign launch.
So far, more than 100 local nonprofits have signed up for the 2024 event.
News Channel 3 has been a partner of FirstBank and Desert Community Foundation since the launch of the first Coachella Valley Giving Day.
The first Coachella Valley Giving Day raised $360,000 for local nonprofits.
